The ICS Community has lost an angel who lived among us. Rest in peace Mrs. Hannan, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, friend, and 27 year veteran teacher. Mrs. Hannan was respected and dearly loved by all who knew her and were taught by her. All are invited to join us for a Celebration of Life Memorial Service on Saturday, December 14th at Immaculate Conception Church. A gathering for family and friends will begin at 9:00 am. A Liturgy of the Word Prayer Service will begin at 10:00 am. A reception will follow in the Parish Hall.

See what happens when Halloween Family Fun Night meets the Christmas season on Friday, December 6th from 6:00 until 9:00 pm. The event will include the best of Halloween and Christmas in one fun night. Come dressed in your Halloween costume or your merriest of Christmas attire. There will be music, inflatables, trick or treating and more! A "Merry" Monster Mash will be held for students in grades 5th, 6th, and 7th grades. Admission is $10 for students in grades PreK-3 through 7th. Admissions for parents/guardians is a bag of candy to distribute for trick or treating. Parents/guardians must remain with children. ICS will be sponsoring Holiday Portraits this Sunday, December 8th from 9:00 am until noon in the Parish Hall located on Avenue C directly behind the church. Pictures may be taken individually or as a family or group with or without Santa. Gather your family and friends for photos before or after Mass this weekend.

ICS is once again teaming up with Hyman L. Bartolo Jr. Contractors and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to participate in this unique service project. Charger Nation will gather on campus to decorate and sign 2x4s on Tuesday, October 29, 2019. These 2x4s will be used to frame the 2020 St. Jude Dream Home. For the last five years, ICS has placed first in the Crescent City Fall Classic Grant Program. Through this program we have earned $15,000 for our school Help us make it SIX! It's Scholastic Book Fair Time! The book fair will take place from Monday, September 16 through Friday, September 20, 2019. Students will visit the book fair during designated library days. Please post title to the book fair schedule.

The Chargers and friends are taking over the Audubon Zoo on Friday, September 20th from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. This family-friendly event is open to all Charger families and friends. With the purchase of a wristband, we invite you to enjoy an evening of unlimited splashing at the Cool Zoo. September lunch menus are now posted! Click on Cafeteria News title to take you to the Lunch Menus page on the website. On certain days of the week, students in grades 1st through 7th are allowed the opportunity to purchase an ice cream treat in the cafeteria. In order to purchase an ice cream, students must purchase a cafeteria lunch on their day. Ice cream days by grade are as follows: Monday: 1st and 5th; Tuesday: 2nd and 6th; Wednesday: 3rd and 7th; Thursday: 4th.

Back to School Orientation Night for grades 1st through 7th is on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at 6:00 pm in the Middle School Gym. This is a "parent only" evening in which parents will receive important information about curriculum and classroom expectations and procedures, as well as general school information.
